Users need different transformers for different applications. When the electronic product market cannot buy a transformer that meets the requirements, users can only customize it. Due to different majors, some users may not have a lot of knowledge about transformers. This paper gives some introductions for users' reference when customizing transformers.
Required parameters:
1. Working frequency: commonly used 50Hz, 60Hz, 400Hz, 1000Hz
2. Input voltage: if it is powered by the power grid, just give the value, such as 220V, 380V. If not, state whether it is the rated voltage or the no-load voltage, such as 80v/ rated voltage.
3. Output voltage: it must be stated whether it is rated voltage or no-load voltage, such as 12v/ rated voltage.
4. Output current: generally refers to the rated current, such as 2 amps. Those who only give the above parameters belong to non professional level. If the price is in line with the market, the transformer manufacturer is very willing to accept such an order, because there are no more parameter requirements, and the transformer that meets the above requirements can be produced with fewer and inferior materials, and the manufacturer can obtain larger profits. Specify parameter 1:
5. No load current: under the rated voltage or specified voltage, when the transformer is not loaded, the primary side current. If the 0.1a/220v rated voltage can give the specified parameter 1, it is a step closer to the professional level. If the price is in line with the market, enterprises cannot use inferior or less materials when producing transformers. In other words, the electrical parameters of transformers have been guaranteed to a certain extent. Specify parameter 2:
6. Voltage regulation rate: (see the article "rated output voltage, regulation rate and its determination" of this station), such as 10%.
7. Temperature rise: in a certain working environment (see the article "rated output voltage, regulation rate and its determination" of this station), the temperature rise of transformer at 50/60hz is mainly considered as the temperature rise of wire package. For example, when the temperature rises by 45 ℃ / the ambient temperature is 55 ℃.
8. Load type: refers to the type of load carried by the transformer. The converted volt ampere is also different for different loads, and the required core specifications are also different. The load type is not declared, which generally refers to resistive load. For other loads, if you want the transformer manufacturer to convert, you must declare. Otherwise, the actual output power of the transformer is inconsistent with the user's requirements.
9. Insulation: two items should be given in common use, one is insulation resistance, such as 20m Ω, and the other is the withstand voltage between the original and auxiliary wire packages, ground, shielding layer, etc. depending on the specific situation, there are many small items, such as the original side to ground 2KV, the auxiliary side to ground 2KV, the original side to core 2KV, the auxiliary side to core 2KV, the shielding layer to ground 2KV, the original side to shielding layer 2KV, etc. Those who can give the specified parameter two are professional. Such parameter requirements make the transformer manufacturer take every link from design to delivery seriously, and the performance of the transformer is guaranteed. Of course, the parameters must be reasonable, which can not only ensure the performance of the transformer, but also make the cost lower to meet the economic requirements. The parameters cannot be self contradictory, otherwise the transformer cannot be produced.
